Victoria Real Estate Update: June 2021

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a great July so far.

The photo above is one that I recently took while hiking Mount Doug, right here in Victoria. If you have not done this hike, I highly recommend you get out and give it a try. The scenery is beautiful, especially at sunset!

If there’s one thing you can say about the real estate market, it’s this: Today is never the same as yesterday. Things are always changing, particularly in this local market. Homes are bought and sold. New listings come up. Prices fluctuate.

It’s never dull!

For most homeowners, the local market can be perplexing at times. In fact, you may occasionally have questions about what’s going on, and no amount of Googling will give you any straight answers.

So, when you do have questions, give me a call. I have the latest data and can answer your questions and provide you with any advice you may need.

And, by the way, you don’t need to be planning to sell to reach out to me. I understand that you may just be curious about the local real estate scene and, perhaps, how much your home might sell for in this market.

That’s okay. Contact me anytime. I’m happy to help.

Victoria Real Estate Update: June 2021

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a great June so far.

As any good financial advisor will tell you, it’s a smart idea to review your investments regularly. From time to time, you want to check their current value and confirm that your investments are still appropriate given your current situation.

When people think of investments, they typically don’t include their property. That’s because a home is so much more than just an investment.

But, it is still an investment.

Review it regularly so you can answer two important questions you should be asking yourself: “How much is our property worth on today’s market?” and “Does our home still suit our needs and fit our lifestyle?”

I recommend doing this review annually. That way, you can ensure you’re maximizing your enjoyment of your home and you’re also staying up-to- date on the options available to you.

Anytime you want to have a conversation about your home investment, feel free to reach out to me. An annual review is a service I offer valued clients like you.

Take care and stay healthy!

Victoria Real Estate Update: May 2021

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a great May so far.

Have you noticed how often people ask for recommendations? In fact, it happens all the time in the local “home” industry.

You might have a neighbour, for example, who is thinking of moving this year and asks if you know a good real estate agent. When a situation like that comes up, I hope you’ll feel confident recommending me. I promise to provide that person with my very best service.

By the way, this “recommendation game” works both ways! You might be looking for a reputable contractor, landscaper, electrician or other professional at some point this year. If that happens, give me a call. I can probably recommend a name or two.

It’s all about helping each other connect with the best professionals.

If you need anything from me, even if you just want to ask a question about the market, contact me anytime.

Victoria Real Estate Update: March 2021

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a great April so far.

Last month we saw a significant increase in sales year over year with 92% more sales in comparison to March 2020.

I suspect that in April we will continue to see the volume of properties sold surge past April 2020 sales. Do not be surprised if the sales volume is more than double, specifically due to the fact that we were all on lock down this time last year and only 287 properties sold in April 2020.

Once we get into May and the coming months we should start to see the percentage of sales year over year begin to calm down. The busy real estate market that began last year in May / June, will start to line up well with our still very busy market, continuing this spring and summer.

Hi Everyone,

If you’re like many people, you might be thinking, “Wow. It’s March already. This year is going by so quickly!”

That can be a scary thought, especially if you have big plans for 2021. You might be worried that more months will slip by before you’re able to get started.
